This capstone course in financial accounting integrates the learning from the Financial Accounting courses with the Management Accounting courses through practical case analysis. It applies the basic principles of accounting and a variety of management accounting tools to evaluate organizational performance and make appropriate strategic decisions.
This is the capstone course in the Managerial and Financial Leadership Program. The University recommends that students take this course as one of the final components of their diploma requirements.
On completion of this course, students will:
- Use analytical tools to solve a business problem;
- Integrate knowledge across business disciplines such as accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management, marketing and operations;
- Demonstrate critical thinking in solving business problems;
- Explain how financial management can be applied to contemporary issues including the environment, globalization, diversity and sustainability.
