“I chose PACE because it provides multiple choices in various fields with practical curriculums in each course,” says Peter Beshay, who earned his Network Security Diploma at UWinnipeg PACE in 2017. “The instructors provide first-hand experience, so we get the knowledge and real-life examples.”
Peter landed a job as consultant and ICT Systems Engineer at Epic, A BellMTS Company shortly after graduation. He is now drawing on his first-hand experience as an Instructor at PACE, teaching a course in data communication. Before moving to Winnipeg Peter completed a Bachelor of Computer Science at Zagazig University in Egypt.
“Continuous learning is defined by the practices an individual carries out daily in order to continue increasing knowledge,” says Peter, who thinks PACE programs embody this spirit.
Peter says PACE programs are unique because the courses are constantly updated and improved to align with current trends. “PACE updates the curriculum for practical courses to match the job market needs.”
“Working in groups during the program on many different topics allowed me to understand my strengths and weaknesses,” says Peter. “I worked to improve the weaknesses and build on my strengths.”
