Courses and Descriptions - Human Resource Management Diploma Program (Part-time)

Required Courses

The program consists of three components: Core course, Elective courses, and Professional Edge Seminars OR * Case Studies in Human Resource Management. Students may take courses in any order as long as they have the required prerequisites, and they have up to five years to complete the 540 hours of study. Students may condense their studies by taking more than one course per term, or by enrolling in a full-time program.

*NOTE: to be eligible for the CPHR Exam waiver the Case Studies in Human Resource Management must be taken.

Elective Courses

Completion of one of the following courses (36 hours total)

Professional Edge Seminars

Option1: completion of five one-day seminars or a combination of one and two-day seminars (35 hours total)

Option 2: completion of Case Studies in Human Resource Management DPS 51116 (36 hours). This option must be chosen to be eligible for the CPHR exam waiver.

Note: Learning Techniques Seminar and  Writing at University Seminar is a required Professional Edge seminar for all certificate and diploma students who do not hold an undergraduate degree.
