This course introduces the more technical aspects of security. Building on the concepts covered in Internet Site Administration and Web Security. Topics will include Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, and Cryptography. The course will explore the anatomy of an attack, analyze different types of electronic attacks function, and determine ways to prevent or mitigate an attack.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Spot potential risks in physical layout.
  • Fix potential physical security risks.
  • Assess Policy and confidentiality.
  • Identify questions NOT to answer.
