Harrison Oakes: Instructor
Harrison Oakes, BA (Hons), is a member of PREVNet (a Canadian network of researchers and NGOs working together to end bullying). In his work on PREVNet’s partnership with Family Channel, he wrote an extensive teacher’s manual for the 2012 national Bullying Awareness Week campaign. The manual was distributed to schools across Canada and translated into French. Over the past year, Harrison has spoken to schools across Canada, youth assemblies, parental advisory councils, and rallies about bullying. He has presented his research at conferences across Canada, facilitated workshops on homophobic bullying, and guest lectured at the Universities of Winnipeg and Manitoba.
