Laura Simmons: Instructor

Laura Simmons, BA, CEC, PCC, is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC), who has also achieved the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation through the International Coach Federation which was held by less than 4000 members at the time.

Her coaching experience includes for-profit, government and non-profit leaders for local, regional and national organizations and spans executive to operational leaders. She has also trained leaders from government, non-profit, privately owned and publically traded organizations.

Her organization Leadership Plus is designed to strengthen leadership through: training – coaching - creating resources & assist them with aspiring careers

Laura’s career prior to coaching including creating a human resource function in a national mid-size, company; and participating as a board member in the governance a rapidly expanding $300,000,000+ retail sales organization. She has worked in privately owned and publically traded organizations as well as co-operatives.

Her experience also encompasses board leadership positions for organizations such as the Canadian Council of Human Resource Associations at the time of the national standards (CHRP) launch, The Human Resource Association of Manitoba, and New Directions (former Children’s home of Winnipeg); United Way as a well as a number of grass root organizations.

Laura is a graduate from University of Winnipeg, University of Manitoba, the Executive Development program at The Wharton School of Management (University of Pennsylvania),  and Royal Roads University. She is certified to debrief clients on EQi, EQi 360 and DiSC.
