Andrea Ratuski is best known for her work as producer and host at CBC in Winnipeg, She has been a producer on Manitoba SCENE, CBC’s website on arts and culture, and CBC Music, the national music website. Prior to that, Andrea was CBC music producer, recording the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and other ensembles for In Concert, Tempo and Choral Concert. She was also host and producer of CBC Radio’s Northern Lights.  Currently Andrea hosts at Classic 107, teaches at the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts and McNally Robinson, and writes for various publications.  Born in Winnipeg, Andrea holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Manitoba, and a Master's degree from the University of Michigan. A former student of Jan Kocman, Principal Flutist of the WSO, she enjoys playing folk music from around the world on the flute together with her husband, button accordionist and composer, Jim Hiscott.
