Paul Ajayi: Student Success Story

In 2011 Paul decided to pursue the Canadian Risk Management designation, and PACE was his school of choice.  He was pleased that PACE provided the flexibility and platform for professional development without breaking the bank.

Paul relocated to Canada from Nigeria in late 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA specializing in Marketing Management. Having relocated his young family, they quickly adapted to their new home; although their first winter was harsh. Paul and his family love Winnipeg for being a vibrant and multicultural city and in 2015 the Ajayi’s were sworn in as citizens of Canada. They are excited with their new status of being ‘Canadians’, and value the numerous opportunities Canada has provided for growth and look forward to continuing that momentum.

Adding to his already impressive credentials he completed the Canadian Risk Management program and was the first in the province awarded the CRM-E designation. Paul’s credentials include PMP, PMI-RMP, CRM, CRM-E, Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, M_o_R, ITIL®2011 Foundation in IT Service Management, SFC and Prosci Organizational Change Management certification. He has over a decade of financial service industry experience across Africa & North America having worked with Equity Bank of Nigeria Limited, Intercontinental Bank Plc, and Ecobank Group before moving to Canada.

Paul is currently a Senior Project Management Consultant with Paradigm Consulting Group, and is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Manitoba Risk & Insurance Management Society (MARIMS) Manitoba Chapter. Paul is notably the provinces first recipient of the PMI-RMP (PMI Risk Management Professional) credential & Canadian Risk Management - Enterprise Risk Management (CRM-E) designation from PMI and Global Risk Management Institute, USA respectively.
