While the Microsoft Windows Server is one of the most common network operating systems (OS) in use today, it is also the most vulnerable to security and malware attacks. 

This course will expose students to the physical and virtual installations of the Windows Active Directory (AD).  Students will gain an understanding of how to plan, configure and manage the common services offered with Windows Servers Active Directory. This final course will provide advanced understanding of topics covered in previous levels, as well as Windows network architecture, the basics of Domain Name System (DNS) services and advanced accounting.


Upon successful completion of this course, students will:

  • Learn a variety of tools and processes for managing file and directory resources within the Active Directory domain;
  • Apply, assign and design group policy content to user and computer accounts in the Active Directory environment;
  • Manage Active Directory resources, updates, and Group Policy changes;
  • Utilize basic PowerShell commands/scripting for server administration tasks.
