This course is intended to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to securely design, deploy and manage wireless local area networks. Students are exposed to the workings of  wireless networks and shown how the weaknesses of various wireless technologies can be exploited.


Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Explain troubleshooting designing and configuring of a wireless network
  • Explain various concepts of radio frequency, antennae transmission and signal properties
  • Explain a Fresnel zone
  • Explain wireless networking and topologies
  • Identify differences between wireless devices and wireless standards
