Holli Moncrieff, APR is an award-winning novelist, instructor, documentarian, editor and publicist who earned her professional accreditation through the Canadian Public Relations Society. Her novel City of Ghosts won the 2018 Kindle Book Review Award for Best Horror/Suspense.
Moncrieff began her writing career as a journalist, tracking down snipers and canoeing through crocodile-infested waters. Her articles have appeared in many publications, including Chatelaine, FLARE, Writer’s Digest, The Winnipeg Free Press and The Globe and Mail.
She has taught students all over the world, including the US and Romania, and is passionate about helping them find success in the writing, public relations and marketing industries, and to avoid the mistakes she’s made.
Moncrieff worked at The Manitoba Museum for over seven years as the Public Relations and Communications Manager, and was the Director of Marketing for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. She’s currently a documentarian/writer expert for the true-crime series Cruise Ship Killers, and teaches at a number of different Winnipeg schools, including the University of Winnipeg, Robertson College, Louis Riel School Division, and McNally Robinson’s Community Classroom.
When not writing or teaching, she loves exploring haunted places, advocating for animal rights, and summoning her inner ninja in muay thai class.
