Claudius Soodeen: Instructor
Claudius Soodeen, BA, MA, teaches evening sections of Introduction to University. He is a life-long learner and distance learning professional in the Manitoba post-secondary sector having 25 years experience with media and educational technology and training.
As an instructional designer at Red River College since 2010, his duties include development of online Apprenticeship and Professional/Diploma courses at RRC, and faculty development/training in the areas of teaching improvement and intercultural competency development. Prior to working at RRC, he spent 17 years in the Centre for Distributed/Distance Learning at University of Winnipeg, latterly as the Assistant Manager (University of Winnipeg Instructional Network) and WebCT Administrator. His responsibilities included supervision of the Telecourse/Video-On-Demand production staff and facilities, LMS administration and faculty support, training & development.
His community engagement responsibilities includes being President of the Manitoba Association for Distributed Learning and Training (MADLaT) and Past-President of the UWinnipeg Alumni Association.
