We know that financing your education can feel overwhelming, especially if you're returning to school or new to Canada. That’s why PACE has created a Funding Options Guide to help you understand the different ways you can make education more affordable. This free, downloadable resource is designed specifically for domestic students and newcomers to Canada (permanent residents & protected persons).
Inside the guide, you’ll find practical information about student loans like the Canada Student Loan and Manitoba Student Loan, both of which come with flexible repayment options and no payments while you study. You’ll also learn about grants and bursaries that don’t need to be paid back, including the Manitoba Bursary and the Canada Student Grant. If you’re a parent, have a disability, or are an Indigenous learner, there are even more targeted supports available to you.
For newcomers to Canada, PACE offers a $1,500 tuition reduction if you’re referred by a supporting community organization. You’ll also discover how Employment Manitoba may offer tuition assistance for career-aligned programs through initiatives like the Jobs and Skills Development Program (JSDP). On top of that, there are exclusive PACE tuition discounts, including 10% off part-time programs for University of Winnipeg alumni and for Canadian Forces members (active or retired) and their families.
Don’t forget about tax credits! The guide includes tips on how to claim your tuition fees when filing your taxes, helping you reduce the amount of income tax you owe. Every little bit helps, and we’re here to help you access every opportunity available.
At PACE, we believe cost shouldn’t stand in the way of your goals. Our programs are career-focused and designed to get you job-ready in as little as one year. With the right support in place, you can get started without the stress of long-term debt.
