Transfer credits allow previous course work to be acknowledged and counted towards your program at PACE. It can lessen the time you have to complete your program, lower your tuition fees and provide you with increased flexibility in doing so.
There is a $25 fee for all transfer credit requests (per course) - Does not apply to courses taken at UW or UWPACE.
NOTE: You MUST adhere to the Guidelines for Acceptance of Transfer Credit.
PACE has a list of pre-approved UW Transfer Credits and a list of pre-approved non-UW Transfer Credits, which you MUST apply to have transferred.
Identify if your courses are eligible for any of the pre-approved Transfer Credits.
Complete the Transfer Request Form: Include the pre-approved course number from the list and the PACE course number for which you are requesting transfer credit.
Submit the Transfer Request Form and required documents at time of application.
This is not a pre-approved transfer credit listing
If you wish to transfer a course which you believe is equivalent to a PACE course, but is not on the pre-approved list, you may request an assessment.
Identify the course you want to transfer by reviewing previous course outlines to determine if there are similarities to the content of the PACE course. It is a good idea to review previous course outlines to self-determine similarities in content and assessments as you are charged a fee for every assessment request.
Complete the Transfer Request Form. Ensure the institution, course name and course number you are seeking transfer credit are identified. Include the PACE course name and number you are identifying as an equivalency.
Submit Form and required documents at time of application.
NOTE: You MUST adhere to the Guidelines for Acceptance of Transfer Credit and ensure you submit the course outline.
Students admitted to more than one PACE Program may be eligible to receive credit for graded course work into another program. Students must complete a minimum number of unique courses to meet program residency. According to UWPACE residency requirements, a student may transfer up to a maximum of one-half of the courses required to complete a UWPACE program. For example, the Management Certificate program is 290 hours in total. 1/2 of 290 hours = 145 hours, or 4 UWPACE courses. This means that a student may be eligible to transfer in credits up to the maximum equivalent of 4 UWPACE courses. For further details, please contact PACE.
Assessments are not completed until a student's acceptance letter into the program has been granted
