From being in our classrooms in the Buhler Centre and AnX on Friday, March 13, 2020, to logging into Zoom from home on Monday morning, today, Monday, March 15, marks exactly one year since our students have been logging into their virtual classrooms instead of meeting in person.
With a small but mighty staff team and dedicated instructors, PACE was able to adapt to our new reality quickly as the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic hit Manitoba. Our students didn’t miss a beat, and embraced the online classrooms, providing helpful feedback along the way.
This past year has been an incredibly powerful reminder that challenges present opportunities for creativity and innovation. We’ve been impressed with the flexibility and creativity of all of our students, whether they were almost done with their programs or just a few months in. And to all our students who started their program in our virtual classroom, not letting the pandemic come between them and their goals, wow!
One year later all our programs are being delivered online and our entire team is still working remotely.
"Thanks to PACE staff and instructors for creating a supportive learning environment for our students over this past year. We have all learned to do new things and push our resilience into places we never expected to go," says Kim Loeb, Executive Director at PACE.
To all of you who have been on this journey with us the last year, thank you! What a year it has been!
