Meet Fernanda Grandizoli, Project Implementation Officer at Canada Post. Fernanda graduated from UWPACE with a Project Management Diploma in 2017. We asked her to reflect on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted her work-life.
"I work at Canada Post as a Project Implementation Officer where I manage the project team during the planning and execution of digital marketing projects, focusing on Parcels, Events, Mass and Data Marketing. I’m responsible for the project schedule and management of all phases of marketing campaigns using Jira Software, ensuring all marketing tactics are completed on time.
Before COVID-19 I would go to Canada Post’s office every day. I had to adjust to a new routine where I have to work from home and share the space with family members that are also at home now.
I feel that there’s a lot of anxiety due to all the uncertainties and unknowns of this situation, but luckily I’m still working and that keeps me busy, so I don’t have a lot of free time. It’s a challenge for sure to adjust to this “new normal”.
I believe it’s important to maintain a positive attitude and focus on self-care activities that work for you: connecting with others, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, maintaining a regular routine (I work from 8 am to 4 pm every weekday), reading a book or magazines, trying out new recipes, exercising (there are many free options available, from mediation & exercises apps to lives on Instagram), starting arts & crafts projects, or finding a new hobby."
