Earning her Public Relations, Marketing & Strategic Communication Management Diploma from UWinnipeg PACE gave Renata Castro the entrance to the Canadian job market she was looking for.
She also holds a Bachelor Degree from Universidade Federal da Paraíba and a Marketing Diploma from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, both in Brazil.
“PACE offered me the specialization I needed to begin my career in Canada,” says Renata Castro.
Renata says she was able to land her job as Member Services Coordinator with the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) thanks to the connections she made during her time as a student.
“PACE prepared me for my current role. I am responsible for everything from strategy to execution and PACE prepared me in every single aspect from writing media releases to event management,” she says. At CME Renata is responsible for managing communications including email marketing, social media, and marketing campaigns as well as event planning.
Renata says students who are starting a PACE program should prepare themselves for an intense year.
“Although you are in a program that offers you all kinds of support, don’t forget your success depends on yourself!”
