In this set of presentations, we will pick and choose from a number of subjects with the aim of making you spend more time looking up at the sky and understanding what you see. We’ll delve into the inner workings of clouds, show you the best and the brightest. We’ll talk about the aurora, to give you something to look for on clear cottage nights. If nighttime lights aren’t on your menu, we’ll dissect the halos and other light shows that the clouds give us in the daytime (and a bit at night). We won’t go tornado hunting, but we’ll see how it’s done. And for sober reflection, we’ll catch up on the latest events in our changing climate. This series is about exploration and we’ll be sailing in the atmosphere, searching for treasure.
