With immigration fast approaching the Canadian birth rate and borders evaporating through globalization, it is essential for business and its leaders to understand the influence of cultural orientation on the overall society and on personal and institutional values. This course will explore topics including power distance, individualism versus collectivism, risk-taking, gender roles, and short-term versus long-term orientation. This course will also examine how national culture affects communication style, business relations, and conflict situations and provide some practical tips to navigate the nuance of different cultural dynamics.
