Learn a comprehensive model for crisis intervention that includes recognizing the early warning signals to safely managing physically violent individuals. Understand how to prevent violence and safely intervene when disruptive behaviour has gone too far.
Emphasis will be placed on early intervention in the least restrictive, least harmful manner, as well as nonphysical methods for preventing and controlling disruptive behaviour. This course is recognized throughout North America as the course for dealing with aggression and violence.
Students receive NVCI Certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
