Project objectives are met when monitored and controlled. Measuring performance against project baselines, assessing deviations from expectations, and implementing corrective actions to meet the project plan are requirements of a controlled project. In the project’s closing stage actions are finalized and the total project is reviewed to determine whether objectives have been met and if any lessons have been learned. Topics in the course will include controlling procurement; measuring stakeholder management and communication; monitoring human resources, quality, and risk; and reviewing final project. The course will finish with an analysis of case studies in project management.
This course is based on, or refers to, the PMI™ Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide (PMBOK Guide). Note: PMI™ and the PMBOK Guide™ are trademarks owned by the Project Management institute.
This is an online course that will have no live class times and will be completed through independent study with assignment due dates. All courses will have a Nexus site and will open one week prior to the first class day. Course outlines will only be posted to Nexus
