Sam Popowich is a librarian at the University of Winnipeg. He graduated with a degree in history from University of Manitoba, and holds a library degree from Dalhousie University and an MA in music and cultural theory from Carleton University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in political theory from the University of Birmingham. Sam’s interests are in politics, information, and technology. He is a member of the University of Winnipeg’s Centre for Research in Cultural Studies and is the author of Confronting the Democratic Discourse of Librarianship (Library Juice Press, 2019).
