Growing up Cheryl Hudson always wanted to be a teacher. She took a one year Accounting diploma course and later obtained her CGA designation. Cheryl graduated from the CGA program in 2001 and at that time worked as an Accountant for a Ford dealership in rural Manitoba. In 2002, a part-time teaching position became available at the Red River College Winkler campus. Cheryl taught part-time until 2005 when a full-time position became available. Cheryl taught Accounting, Math and Finance courses in Winkler from 2005 until 2010 when a full time position became available at the Notre Dame campus in Winnipeg. Courses taught from 2010 to 2016 were mostly non Accounting related but in 2017, Cheryl started teaching more Accounting courses. At the time of her retirement from the college in 2022, Cheryl was teaching only Accounting courses.
