Kelly Melchor’s professional life has been happily spent in the insurance industry. After graduating from the Asper School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree in Finance and Marketing, she started her career with one of Canada’s largest insurance companies. Over the years she gathered experience across a multitude of different product lines in various sales, strategy, and senior leadership roles working with large organizations in the insurance and financial services sectors, and garnered enhanced skills and knowledge upon the completion of her Master of Business Administration degree majoring in Innovation Leadership in 2017. She found her home at Winnipeg Insurance Brokers Ltd. in 2018 as their Chief Executive Officer. In 2023 she obtained the Certified Chief Executive designation after completing a program held at various Ivy-League universities including Wharton, Darden, and Cornell. She is a board member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba (IBAM) and is serving her final term as a board member of the St. Alphonsus School. Outside of work Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and loves to travel, read, and attend live theatre/entertainment/sporting events.
