Margaret Orina, MA, MFSS, MAE, CSM, has over 15 years of experience in the fields of Management and Career Counselling providing leadership and support to Career Counselling Professionals. Margaret has held leadership positions in both the public and private sectors. Margaret’s teaching experience includes a lecturing position with the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Kenya where she taught Developmental Psychology, and Social Education and Ethics. At the University of Winnipeg’s Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), Margaret has taught Essential Skills for Managers course in the Project Management, Human Resources and Marketing Programs and the Career Development Practitioner Certificate courses. Margaret is also an Instructor with MITT in the Post Graduate and Leadership Program. Recognized as an empathetic and collaborative leader, Margaret has a passion for life-long learning – she holds three masters degrees and a number of certifications in leadership. Margaret received her technical and management education and training from the University of Manitoba, Queens School of Business, Certified Services Manager training from the Institute of Citizen Centered Services (ICCS) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training offered by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). Margaret attained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the Universities of Nairobi (Kenya) and the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven (Belgium). She also attained the designation of Certified Service Manager from the Institute of Citizen Centered Service. Margaret is passionate about our community; she has served in various board positions including as Board of Directors with the CMHA. She loves gardening, travelling, yoga, listening to music and taking nature walks.
