Juanita

DeSouza-Huletey

Mrs. Juanita Ama De-Souza-Huletey is currently the Manager, Application Services with the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba. Prior to that, Juanita was the Divisional Commander /Manager of the Information and Technology Solutions Division at Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) for over 6 years, and was responsible for all information technology needs, communication systems, and platforms for WPS.  Prior to this appointment, she held two other managerial positions at the City of Winnipeg Corporate Support Services, and Property Assessment Department). Other employment outside the City of Winnipeg includes, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), University of Manitoba (Lecturer, Researcher, and Program Advisor) and IBM Canada Ltd.  Juanita is also an occasional instructor for Red River College Continuous Education Division. Juanita obtained her Masters degree from the University of Manitoba and successfully completed her course work as a PHD Candidate. She has an undergraduate degree with Double Honors from the University of Ghana. Juanita also holds a number of professional designations and certificates including the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, Advanced Law Enforcement Planner certification, Business Relationship Management Professional, and ITIL. Juanita serves on a number of committees and boards at the executive and advisory role including post secondary institutions, NGOs, and professional organizations. In addition, she was an active member of the Project Management Institute, and other community based organizations. Juanita has published a few papers in international journals and has presented papers/reports at international conferences. She is married and has 3 boys.
