About Pace

Genissa Grace Licarte did not set out to overhaul how her organization trains its people. She set out to strengthen her own knowledge. What happened next is a straightforward example of what happens when the right program meets the right moment.
Genissa completed the HR Management diploma at PACE part-time, while managing her professional responsibilities, and today works as a Provincial Orientation and Training Specialist at Manitoba Housing. In that role, she designs and delivers training materials that help staff understand their responsibilities and improve their own job outcomes.
Finding the Right Fit
For working professionals, the structure of a program matters as much as its content. PACE's HR Management diploma is offered in multiple formats: in-person, hybrid and online, which allowed Genissa to find a format that fit her schedule without compromising the quality of her education.
That flexibility kept the path forward open when life got busy.
Support That Made a Difference
Genissa points to PACE's Student Advisors and Registration Office as a key part of her experience. In a part-time program, momentum can be hard to maintain, knowing that support was available helped her stay on track from start to finish.
"The support I got from them was amazing, and it just helped me progress successfully throughout the entire program."
Knowledge That Transfers Directly
The clearest measure of a program's value is what graduates do with it. For Genissa, the answer is concrete. Her coursework in Adult Learning Theory became a direct input into her professional practice.
She now uses those principles to build training guides, instructional slides, and step-by-step process materials that Manitoba Housing staff use to navigate their roles with confidence.
"PACE strengthened my knowledge in the principles of Adult Learning Theory, which I am currently using in my role.".
The program did not just add credentials to her resume. It changed how she approached her work.
Advice for Future Students
Genissa's advice to anyone considering the program is straightforward, “Go for it!”.
The flexibility of PACE's delivery formats means there is likely a format that fits your life. The support structure means you will not have to figure it out alone. And the learning, as Genissa's career demonstrates, will follow you well beyond graduation.
