In today’s world, change and its pace are inevitable. Knowing how to link change to the strategic needs of the organization will minimize employee dissatisfaction and resistance to change. Learning how to manage organizational change is key to making these transitions go more smoothly, regardless of what the change entails. The constant evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization results in the need for the HR professional to frequently champion change.

This session will provide participants with a better understanding of the human side of change and provide a framework for developing strategies to facilitate positive change within their organizations.

Prerequisites

Must be admitted to the Advanced Certificate in People Management to register for this program.

Outcomes

On completion of this course, participants will:

  • Understand and explain the difference between change and transition
  • Recognize why people resist change and how to overcome resistance to change
  • Identify common reactions to change and how do deal with them
  • Have discussed how to create strategies to facilitate positive change and help themselves and others through transition
