Graduation Application Guide(PDF)

How to Access Web Platforms

The University of Winnipeg uses a single login system.

Your single login gives you access to:
  • NEXUS - Where you find ALL your course information, including your program schedule, textbook lists, course outlines, and more.
  • WebAdvisor - Where you enrol in courses, see your grades, and track your tuition payments.
  • Webmail - Where we will communicate with you once your program begins.

How do I set up my single login?

If this is your first time using our online enrolment system, you will receive a User ID and temporary password to activate your accounts. Activiating you account will simplify your future registrations and allow you to obtain your tax forms, grades, and other information.

You must first activate your account by doing the following:

  1. Log in to WebAdvisor – using this temporary username/password
  2. Change your password – this activates your account.
    • Passwords must be a minimum of 9 characters (to a max of 24); containing both numbers and letters
  3. Your username and new password can now be used for all UW computing services:  Nexus, Email, WebAdvisor, etc.

If you have lost/misplaced your notice containing information about your username and the temporary password, contact the PACE registration office to request this information so you can follow the reset password option on WebAdvisor.

Need step-by-step instructions?

Follow these instructions (PDF) to set up your UWinnipeg accounts.

Forgot your account information?

Have you forgotten your Username or Password?

  • You will need your Student ID # which is on your registration confirmation.
  • If you registered within a few days of the course start date you may have not yet received this confirmation letter, if this is the case, please contact the PACE registration office.

Still can't log in?

If you are still having difficulties with logging into your online course please contact the University of Winnipeg Service Desk at servicedesk@uwinnipeg.ca

Student Sponsorships

If you are being sponsored by your employer or another organization to take any of our classes, and require PACE to send an invoice to your sponsor, we require a letter of authorization to invoice from your sponsor to be submitted along with your course registration. This letter must include the following information:

  • Student's name
  • Course(s) to be invoiced
  • Tuition amount covered
  • Sponsor contact name
  • Sponsor address information

For your convenience, you may also submit the Authorization to Invoice Form along with your course registration.

Online Learning

Most online courses at UWinnipeg PACE are 12-weeks in duration. Most classes are asynchronous, which means you will not be expected to be online for any live lectures.

You are free to work on the course within the times you want, providing you meet assignment due dates. Most courses have video lectures (less than 10 minutes), readings, and group work.

Expectations of an online student are similar to a student attending a traditional class; you will be expected to work approximately 6 hours per week on your course. Course work includes self-assessments, project work, and collaboration with your classmates (virtually) as well as any assignments and prescribed readings that have been assigned.

Although offered in a flexible online format, students are still required to submit and complete course work on certain due-dates. Most online courses at UWinnipeg PACE are 12-weeks in duration.

All courses are delivered on Nexus, The University of Winnipeg's online course learning management system. This is where you will find all the course information and where you will be able to connect with your instructor and fellow students.

Blended courses combine live virtual meeting and lecture times with independent study.
