Graduates of the Supply Chain Management Diploma from The University of Winnipeg’s Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) are now eligible for advanced standing in earning their designation as Supply Chain Management Professionals (SCMP™).

Overseen by Supply Chain Canada, Canada’s largest association representing supply chain professionals, the Supply Chain Management Professional designation is Canada’s most sought-after professional designation for those entering the supply chain profession.

“The Manitoba Institute is thrilled with this new partnership with The University of Winnipeg PACE. The partnership strengthens the importance of supply chain in Manitoba, and throughout Canada. It emphasizes the need of supply chain professionals to help boost our economy, and leads to the creation to a more diverse and competitive workplace for all,” says Mr. Rick Reid, Executive Director, Supply Chain Canada, Manitoba Institute.

This partnership between UWinnipeg PACE and Supply Chain Canada comes at a time when the importance of effective and efficient management of supply chains has been highlighted by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“As we move beyond the current disruptive environment, employers will be seeking practitioners and professionals ready to advance their careers across the breadth of supply chain roles such as sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, transportation, distribution, operations, sustainability, replenishment, and contract management,” says Ms.Campbell.

Through the partnership, both Supply Chain Canada and UWinnipeg PACE are committed to supporting graduates of the Supply Chain Management Diploma program to be at the leading edge of their careers and to improve the corporate performance of their organizations.

“At PACE we’re always focused on making sure our graduates are equipped with the practical skills and knowledge they need to be successful in their fields,” says Ms. Kim Loeb, Executive Director of UWinnipeg’s PACE. “This partnership with Supply Chain Canada allows our graduates to not only take the next steps to certify their knowledge through the industry association but also demonstrate their commitment to continued learning and excellence."
