Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Sophia Ali is the Executive Director of Aulneau Renewal Centre. Her education background consists of a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from University of Manitoba, Bachelor of Social Work from University of Manitoba and a Master’s in Business Administration from Athabasca University. Registered as a Social Worker with the Manitoba College for Social Workers, Sophia has over fifteen years working with vulnerable sectors related to complex needs such as health issues, mental health, community development and health promotion. Sophia is an Instructor at the University of Manitoba Extended Education Program, University of Winnipeg PACE Program and Mohawk College. She also volunteers with the Manitoba Islamic Association Mental Health Initiative, Healthy Muslim Families and is also part of the Bishop’s Advisory Committee -Safe Church Environment.
