My WHY is to make people feel valued, heard, safe, and free to be their best selves. I live this through active, empathetic listening in every interaction—empowering creativity and collaboration to improve the world around us. I currently serve as the Assistant Deputy Minister – Innovation and New Technology with the Government of Manitoba. In this role, I lead transformative initiatives to modernize ERP systems and deliver public value through digital innovation. My work focuses on bridging the gap between engineering, product, and service delivery while fostering environments rooted in trust, collaboration, and respect. My leadership is built on aligning strategic goals with operational excellence. I specialize in establishing (E)PMOs and Project Portfolios that serve as engines for successful delivery. I thrive in fast-paced, technology-driven settings, combining technical acumen with a delivery-focused mindset to guide cross-functional teams through complex change. As emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain disrupt the business landscape, I remain a strong advocate for people-first leadership. I believe the key to navigating uncertainty lies in continuous learning, thoughtful alignment between business functions, and a relentless focus on outcomes. I am also active in the global project management community. In March 2022 to 2025, I was honoured to serve as President-elect for the Project Management Institute’s Manitoba chapter. I regularly lecture at universities and speak at PMI conferences across North America. To me, community strength grows when we actively listen, exchange knowledge, and learn collaboratively. Fun fact: I was born in Brazil, moved to Canada, and fell in love with downhill skiing.
