Hieu Dang is a data science professional with a background in machine learning and artificial intelligence. He currently works with a global technology company as a senior data scientist. He has worked on many interesting industrial data driven projects, applied machine learning algorithms, and signal processing techniques to derive insights from big data which require a lot of data wrangling, feature engineering, feature learning, and building and optimizing machine learning models. He got a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba with a focus on artificial intelligence. His research interests include causal inference, stochastic processes, probabilistic graphical models, deep learning, and multi-objective optimizations. Hieu is also a passionate educator. He enjoyed teaching undergraduate courses while doing research at the University of Manitoba. He has also delivered several presentations about his research at the international conferences, and tutorials on machine learning/artificial intelligence topics to the professional forums.
