“My experience at PACE was remarkable, equipping me with international knowledge and expertise necessary for success," shares Grace Neko, a graduate of the Human Resource Management program at PACE. Originally from Kenya, Grace started her journey as in 2021 and has since risen to the role of Human Resource Generalist at Celero Solutions.
Grace's path through PACE was instrumental in shaping her career in Canada. She explains, "PACE helped me apply the knowledge and technical expertise from HR to my current job, which I secured following an internship facilitated by the program." This hands-on experience provided her with the practical skills needed to excel in the Canadian workforce, particularly in a company that serves as an IT provider to credit unions across the country.
Now, as a Human Resource Generalist, Grace supports the business through HR advisory and guidance across Canada, collaborating with managers and business leaders. Her role involves aligning HR initiatives and the employee experience with the strategic goals of the business, ensuring both performance enhancement and compliance with best practices.
For current and prospective PACE students, Grace offers this advice: "Set yourself for success by organizing your schedules to align with deadlines. This is crucial towards employability here in Manitoba." She emphasizes the importance of discipline and preparation, which are key to excelling in PACE's rigorous programs and subsequently in professional roles.
Grace also highlights the benefits of studying at PACE for prospective students: "If you are looking for a program that will set you apart in a cutting-edge economy and industry, then look no further than PACE." She praises the instructors at PACE for being professional practitioners who provide first-hand insights into the current economic climate and the future of employment.
At PACE, we are immensely proud of Grace Neko's accomplishments and her proactive approach to leveraging her educational experiences towards achieving career success. Her journey underscores the effectiveness of our program in preparing graduates to meet and exceed the demands of today's job market. We celebrate her success and look forward to continuing to support our students in achieving their professional aspirations.
