Internship Spotlight: Neerav Ahir

Neerav Ahir recently finished his Supply Chain Management Diploma with an internship at Quality Classrooms.

“The knowledge that he attained during his studies [at PACE] have been an asset to him in the Purchasing Coordinator role. He was well prepared for entry into the workforce and has proven to be an asset to our team,” said Sheena Rafferty, Operations Manager at Quality Classrooms.

In fact, Neevav was such as asset to the team in his internship position he was offered a full time position at the company.

“Thank you for the opportunity to host Neerav as an intern,” said Rafferty.” We are happy that he has accepted a full-time position with our company in the Purchasing Coordinator role and look forward to his continued growth and development.”

These are a few areas where Neerav was able to apply his skills and knowledge:

• Requisition and issued purchase orders for stock items
• Confirmed availability of inventory when requested and communicated delays
• Identified issues that may impact internal operations and external customers
• Recommend alternate inventory to fulfill short term gaps
• Obtained specs, images, and samples of stock as required
