Supply Chain Management Diploma - International Students

Lead the way in this brand-new, industry-aligned program. Graduates get the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to manage, organize, and run supply chain functions. From logistics to procurement, knowledge management to global sourcing, students cover all aspects of the supply chain management field, being challenged to apply theory to the practical workplace. Delivered by industry experts and supported by the Supply Chain Management Association - Manitoba (SCMA-MB), this program offers students an educational experience rooted in real-world experience and current industry needs.

Tuition & Fees

$18,215: Tuition includes UWSA and health insurance fees. Costs are subject to change.

$2,000-$2,500: Textbook costs may vary depending on new, rental, used, or electronic purchasing choices. Textbooks are a requirement.

*Please note there is a fee increase scheduled for Supply Chain Management. As of September 2021 tuition fee for this program will be $19,515.

Objectives & Outcomes

The Supply Chain Management Diploma program prepares graduates to work as at the management level in the supply chain field, providing a comprehensive foundation in the theory and practices of supply chain management based on the best practices and industry standards in Canada.

Outcomes

  • Be able to define and use supply chain management terms and theories in real world scenarios
  • Be able to analyze, design, and make recommendations on supply chain management operations
  • Be able to problem solve for issues in supply chain management
  • Be able to effectively supervise, manage, and organize teams for productive work

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • International students are required to hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree
    • A Higher National Diploma from Nigeria and Ghana are exceptions
  • The Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) or Final Percentage on these transcripts will be assessed for eligibility.
    • If a higher degree is attained (post-graduate diploma, Master’s, or PhD) the minimum GPA or Percentage must be attained in all degrees.

Work Experience

Supply Chain Management Diploma applicants must have a minimum of one year professional work experience.

English Language Requirements

Applicants whose previous education was completed outside of Canada and where English may or may not have been the medium of instruction, must submit proof of meeting one of the accepted English language proficiency measures.

Students applying to The University of Winnipeg PACE during the COVID-19 crisis, may use the following online testing options to meet their English language requirements for applications to our 2021 programs:

  • Duolingo English Test with a minimum test score of 120, with at least a Production score of 100
  • IELTS Indicator with a minimum overall academic band score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6.0 for the writing and reading categories
  • TOEFL iBT "Special Home Edition Test" with a minimum score of 86 with no less than 20 in each component (internet-based)

The University reserves the right to request English language proficiency testing result documentation for any international applicant.

Accreditation

Upon completion of this program students will earn two valuable educational credentials: Supply Chain Management Diploma and Management Certificate.

Management Certificate Certified by Chartered Managers Canada (CIM)

Students graduating from the Management Certificate may apply for the Certified in Management designation (CIM).

This program meets the standard entry into the Supply Chain Management Association of Manitoba’s Designation Program.
