The health and safety of workers is paramount to a vibrant and effective work site. This course will examine the roles and responsibilities of a Safety Manager in the area of workplace health and safety in a construction setting. Participants will examine best practice for fostering a workplace culture where workers and management work cooperatively to assure safety and report unsafe conditions. The overall success of a workplace health and safety program relies on developing a clear communication plan, establishing relationships across the entire organization, creating a project specific Safety Management Plan and setting strategic goals to maintain and promote a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with the various legislated requirements.

This is an in-person course to be delivered on campus at PACE at 471 Portage Avenue. All courses will have a Nexus site that will open one week prior to the first class day.
