Designing meaningful and well-conceived visualizations associated with the analysis of data requires careful attention to design and user-experience. This course establishes principles, theory, and practice of conveying trends, patterns, and insights obtained from data into dashboards and effective visualizations. Applied use of visualization tools and platforms is also covered.

Outcomes
On completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the design considerations and characteristics of effective user interfaces and data visualizations
- Design and implement effective user interfaces
- Build meaningful dashboard offering complimentary views
- Best visualize geographic data, descriptive results, and predictive results
- Effectively highlight anomalies, exceptions, and trends and patterns
