JavaScript 1 is a fundamental technology all web developers require. In the first of three courses on JavaScript, students will focus on topics such as forms, images, and the Document Object Model (DOM). The students will be introduced to the code conventions and rules of the JavaScript language.
Each course fee is paid for at the time of registration.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of client-side JavaScript, including core programming practices, constructs, and syntax
- Debug JavaScript and apply common scripting techniques
- Describe the Document Object Model (DOM)
- Develop basic web pages with interactive content
- Make programmatic decisions based on user input
- Create and read browser cookies
- Describe the difference between session and persistent cookies
