The terrain of the workplace is changing. Workplaces are increasingly called upon to support employees who may be struggling with mental health concerns. Employers can be hesitant to engage with employees about their mental health for fear of saying the wrong thing or not understanding employer or employee obligations. In some scenarios, workplace cultures and mishandling of mental health can exacerbate issues for employees who may be struggling. So, how can employers create a better culture for managing mental health in the workplace?
In this 2-day course, you will explore unhelpful myths, engage in personal and professional reflection, and learn about best practices for creating healthy workplaces, including early identification and how to approach conversations, create reasonable accommodation, and develop support plans.
