I am Marcio Coelho, a university professor for over 25 years now, the last 8 years teaching in Canada. I have two degrees, one in Religious Studies from the Seminário Presbiteriano do Sul (Southern Presbyterian Seminary), and another in Social Communication/Journalism from PUCCAMP (Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas) both in Campinas, SP, Brazil. I did my master’s in Business Administration/Marketing, and the Ph.D. is in Linguistics and Communication field both at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (Mackenzie Presbyterian University), in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2016 I was invited for a one-year term post-doctoral position at the University of Manitoba, to work in a project merging Engineering, Marketing and Health Care. After 8 years residing in Winnipeg, MB, I moved with my family (wife, and 4-year-old boy at that time), semester) to Montreal on August 2022. Last year we received our little princess Lily which is now 15 months old. I am very excited for this course, and I am looking forward to seeing you in our sessions. Having been a university student myself, I know that the start of a new semester is both exciting and potentially overwhelming. I like to read, biographies specially, play piano, flute, and boardgames. I am a soccer fan, now trying to follow Hockey cheering for the Winnipeg Jets.
