Meet our instructors:

Naomi Loewen

Naomi’s (PCP) aim is to mentor those who wish to pursue payroll and human resources occupations. She has broad payroll and implementation experience across various business sectors including all Canadian provinces. Over the past 15 years she worked for third party payroll service providers servicing a portfolio of 250 customers, as well as administrating payroll and benefits for a unionized manufacturing company. She holds her Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate and is working towards her Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education.

Stephen Hayes

Stephen is an instructor at the University of Winnipeg where he teaches students in the Professional, Applied, and Continuing Education program. He specializes in bridging national and organizational cultures and explores issues related to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In addition to Cross Cultural Communication and Cultural Studies Stephen  teaches Organizational Behaviour, Ethics and Social Responsibility and Effective Oral Communication.

Janice Goldsborough

Janice Goldsborough, BA (Adv), CHRP, has been working in the Human Resources field for over 20 years. She started her career at the Westin Hotel (now the Fairmont), moved to Canada Safeway as their Employment Representative before accepting the challenge of Director of Human Resources at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. Deciding to spend more time with her family she started her own consulting firm, focusing on training and development in the hospitality sector before returning to the corporate world as the first Human Resource Manager at Wellington West Capital Inc (now NBCN).

Leanne Edwards

Leanne Edwards, B.Comm (Hons), PMP, DASSM is a Senior Project Manager with formal experience as a Business Analyst, Planner, Operations Manager and Account Manager. She has managed projects in construction, manufacturing, telecommunications, insurance, government, information technology (IT), not-for-profit and business sectors. Leanne is also the president of company specializing in customized commercial and residential construction projects.

Jackie Desrochers

Jackie Desrochers, is a continuous learner and uses her knowledge and skills to motivate, mentor and coach others to develop their potential and to achieve their goals.   As a Senior Development Consultant with the Province of Manitoba, she provides guidance and coaching to subject matter experts and clients to help them develop as instructors, facilitators and presenters. She facilitates workshops in leadership, presentation skills, train the trainer, team building, performance management, time management and productivity.
