NEW PROGRAM – NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS
The Lean Yellow & Green Belt Training Program prepares professionals to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to improve organizational performance, eliminate waste, and create greater value for customers. Through two sequential courses, participants develop the practical skills needed to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, solve operational problems, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across a wide range of industries.
Beginning with Lean Yellow Belt, learners build a strong foundation in Lean philosophy, process mapping, waste identification, problem solving, workplace organization, and continuous improvement tools. The Lean Green Belt course expands these skills by focusing on advanced process improvement methodologies, project leadership, data-informed decision making, and the application of Lean techniques to complex operational and service environments.
Together, these courses prepare participants to pursue internationally recognized Lean Belt certification through an independent certifying body. Certification requires successful completion of the required examinations and practical application requirements and is not included as part of the University of Winnipeg program.
Through two complementary courses, participants have the flexibility to complete either Lean Yellow Belt or Lean Green Belt independently, or both as a progressive learning pathway. While learners may enroll directly in either course, we recommend completing Lean Yellow Belt first to establish a strong foundation before advancing to Lean Green Belt.
