Joseph is originally from England, moving to Canada after living in both Afghanistan and Nigeria in his youth. He is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces with several operational tours to places such as Bosnia, Cyprus, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan. Joseph completed a Bachelor of Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada, a Master of Education from Athabasca University, and several unique qualifications through the military. His last posting was in the role of Dean of Academics at the Special Forces Operations School in Belgium with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Joseph’s career specialized in instructional design, distance education project management, international education implementation, instructor training and evaluation, recruiting, retention, and operational readiness. He is currently a 2nd year PhD Student within the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba. His research interest is related to using Arts-Based Research to tackle Waste Management Literacy within the Coffee Industry. Joseph’s hobbies include travel, fitness, and music.
