Klinic Community Health
The Klinic Crisis Program operates a variety of crisis phone lines and online support services, providing free and confidential counselling, support and referrals for people who are suicidal, in crisis or struggling to cope.

Anxiety Disorders Association of Manitoba Support Line During COVID-19
You can reach the support line by calling 204.925.0040.  The line will be checked regularly between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekends.  People are asked to leave their name, phone number or email address and an ADAM representative will get in touch with them within a short period of time

More Crisis Support
Here's a list of contacts we recommend throughout Manitoba for anyone experiencing a crisis situation, including suicide. These contacts offer support services, confidential counselling, and referrals at no cost. Many offer services 24 hours 7 days a week.

Tips for Taking Online Exams

Tips and suggestions to prepare for online exams

1. Getting set up for the exam:

  • 10-15 minutes before the start time, log into Nexus and make sure you locate the quiz/test/exam 
  • Remove any distractions at the time of the exam
    • Put your cellphone & any other devices away
    • Have a quiet space
  • Make sure you familiarize yourself with the exam format
    • Multiple-choice, short answer, long answer, etc
    • Time-limit (e.g. 30 minutes or 1 hour)
  • Ensure you have clarified any questions about the exam ahead of time with the instructor (do not rely on other students to answer these questions, contact the instructor directly)

2. During the exam:

  • Read the exam question thoroughly
  • Do not rush through the exam
  • Be sure you are aware of the time-limit but try not to focus on how much time you have left
  • Do not skip pages, read the instructions carefully

3. After the exam:

  • If you encounter any technical issues, please contact your instructor immediately
  • If you wish to clarify any content of the exam, please contact your instructor

PACE reminds students of their responsibility to maintain academic integrity in all testing situations, including while taking online exams.
