This program offers intensive, hands-on training that builds and enhances the ability of participants to assist unemployed individuals. This program is perfect for professionals already in the field looking to enhance their knowledge, as well as people transitioning into the employment coach field.
The certificate is made up of four 2-day workshops, with correlating assignments. Earn your certficate online in just four months. Choose from online, evening sessions, or daytime sessions.
The Career and Employment Coach Certificate is a joint program between the Winnipeg Transition Centre (WTC) and The University of Winnipeg Professional, Applied & Continuing Education.
Registration fees are charged individually for each 2-day workshop:
Individuals must successfully complete all four workshops to receive the FINAL certificate.
This certifcate can be completed in as little as four months or completed at your own pace.
Each module is a 2-day workshop with live online sessions. Times may vary. See next delivery dates under the Module dropdown.
This program is offered in virtual online format with live sessions led by the Winnipeg Transition Centre. Some courses may be scheduled in-person.
Complete the registration form and return to the Winnipeg Transition Centre.
To develop and practice the coaching skills required to assist individuals or groups with employment transition skills.

Applicants whose previous education was completed outside of Canada and where English may or may not have been the medium of instruction, must submit proof of meeting one of the accepted English language proficiency measures. Individuals must successfully complete all four workshops to receive the final certificate. Workshops may be taken in any order.
Use proven methods to assist individuals to be proactive and creative in their job search. Promote creative "out of the box" thinking for individuals who are "stuck" to increase a successful outcome.
Learn how to assist individuals identify skills to meet specific job goals using nine easy steps in creating an effective resume. Develop coaching techniques to draw out and maximize skills, accomplishments and talents.
Employ successful methods of coaching people to gain confidence and overcome nervousness in an interview. Identify three major types of interview questions and learn suggestions for answering "tough" questions.
Learn how to assist individuals to identify their motivated skills, values and gifts to develop an effective career action plan. Employ alternative coaching techniques to deal with difficult career coaching scenarios.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive a joint Certificate of Completion from the University of Winnipeg and Winnipeg Transition Centre.
