This course prepares students to design, develop, and implement a business intelligence (BI) solution that meets defined requirements. This course builds on concepts covered in Business Intelligence Projects. Students will gain an understanding of database design options, data storage concepts, and model types that align with BI requirements. Students will learn how to implement database design and use Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML). Students will evaluate existing data, identify missing data elements, and prepare data for analysis and reporting. Additionally, they will apply ETL tools and techniques to ensure solutions have the necessary data.

This is an online course that will have no live class times and will be completed through independent study with assignment due dates. The Nexus course site will open 5 days prior to the first class day. The course outline will only be posted to Nexus. This course will have a condensed format and a mixture of full and part time students.
