This course establishes in-depth knowledge and skill in the design, testing, and implementation of data analytical models in a business/organizational context. The methodologies used in the inception and development of data models is covered along with practical and applied use of tools and technologies.

On completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify suitable applications and limitations of data models in an applied organizational context
- Describe the underlying statistical mathematical methods used in data models and imbedded in modern modeling platforms
- Apply consistent methods to the creation, testing, and implementation of data models
- Describe the difference between prescriptive decision-making models and data modes
- Design, construct, test, and implement data model solutions using tools/platforms and supporting programming languages
