There are a few ways to get started with learning at UWinnipeg PACE.
*Most courses completed individually can later be transfered toward the part time Human Resource Management Diploma option.
Human Resource Management is a growing industry and it's expected that thousands of new HR jobs will be created in the next decade, but competition for these positions is likely to be strong.
Candidates with advanced training from post-secondary institutions like UWinnipeg, or professional certification and accreditation will have a leg up on other applications, especially for higher-level positions. Being prepared and marketable for the future is critical to a new HR manager’s success in the sector.
Managing human capital, managing resources, and managing expectations takes a special skill set. You'll develop your skill-set under the guidance of our instructors, who are all practicing professionals in the field of HR. Our industry aligned curriculum that brings real-world scenarios into a university setting.

Our full-time option is a highly intensive program with a predetermined course-load and schedule that provides structured pathway for your to complete your program as efficiently as possible.
In just 12 months graduates of the full time program earn three important credentials:
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates become eligible for their CPHR designation and CIM (Certified in Management) designation.
Students must be able to commit to full-time studies, with at least 7 hours of course work per day plus additional time to complete assignments and group work. Working while completing a full time program is not recommended.
Our part-time option is a highly flexible program that lets you to set the pace making it easy for you to learn on your own and to adapt your studies to a busy schedule.
Graduates of the part time program earn their Human Resource Management Diploma.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates become eligible for their CPHR designation.
Fast-track your program completion and finish the part time program in 2 years or take the time you need. If you choose the part time option you have 5 years to complete the required and elective courses. Our part time option allows you to schedule your course load around a busy life.
Students pursuing both the full time and part time study option are eligible to participate in internships!
Internship is the gateway to your entry into the field and provides a tangible framework to develop hands-on work experience. Internships helps you gain confidence in skills developed through your studies and build a portfolio through real-world work assignments.
Regardless of whether you are studying full time or part time, you must have a 3.0 GPA and successfully completed the required courses in order to participate in internship at the end of the program.
