Meet our instructors:

David Navratil

David Navratil is a strong advocate for lifelong learning, having returned to university as an adult learner from 2002 to 2012. During this time, he completed his BA, MA, and MBA while simultaneously running his own Winnipeg-based sales agency and teaching writing and communication courses at the University of Winnipeg. Upon completing his Asper MBA in in marketing, David transitioned to a senior managerial role at the Crown Corporations Council.

Idayat Ogungbade (MBA, CCP, CPHR, GRP, SHRM-SCP) is a Certified Compensation Professional with extensive experience developing, implementing, and evaluating pay programs to support business strategy. Her professional background includes compensation specialist roles with KPMG, the City of Winnipeg, University of Winnipeg, and University of Victoria, in areas including job evaluation, pay structures, pay for performance, compensation surveys, performance management, employee recognition, and pay policies.

Claudius Soodeen, EdD teaches evening sections of Introduction to University. He is a life-long learner and distance learning professional in the Manitoba post-secondary sector having over 25 years’ experience with media & educational technology, technology training and teaching development. He has worked as an instructional designer and educational developer, and is currently the Faculty Development Consultant at Red River College.

Genny Sacco-Bak

Genny Sacco-Bak has over 6 years experience working as a fundraising coordinator for non-for-profit organizations and recently completed the Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE) Review Course. Affectionately known as the “queen of free”, she has successfully raised over $500,000 through various events and sponsorship. As well, Genny has over 30 years experience working in marketing, event management, public relations and communications for various technology and finance organizations.

Genella MacIntyre, BA Spec, MA, is the principal of Partners in Discovery Ltd, a training, coaching and consulting company committed to improving the quality of personal and professional living. Her background includes human resource management, executive leadership, coaching, counselling, and training with a Master of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. Genella has worked with a wide variety of organizations as a trainer and coach.
